Who Was The TikTok Guy Alex Hall Was Dating In Selling The OC Season 3?

As noted above, Hall didn’t give many details about her mysterious TikTok man aside from describing him as “very successful,” “alpha,” and ultimately having less intense chemistry with her than Stanaland. The two did seem to be going strong during Season 3, though.

After Stanaland and Hall decided to give their relationship another go, Stanaland tried and failed to take her on a trip to Nashville. The plans ultimately fell through, but rather than sulking, Hall jetted off to Vegas with TikTok Guy instead. The two also went to London and the season ends with Hall about to accompany him on another exciting trip to Italy. In a cliffhanger, however, Stanaland asks her not to leave and to give their relationship another shot instead.

Though Hall’s colleagues caught her in a massive lie in Season 3, one thing she was telling the truth about is the fact that TikTok Guy likes his privacy. We know the man lived in London when Season 3 was filming, worked for TikTok, and was “a catch.” Hall told Tyler, “On paper, I literally couldn’t create him if I wanted to. It’s perfect.” But his name remains a mystery.

In September 2023, Hall was spotted kissing a man whose identity and full face were hidden, so it’s possible that was TikTok guy. Eagle eyed fans claim a man was tagged in Hall’s travel photos on Instagram (which have since been deleted) with the username @ketch91. She also follows a man with this username on TikTok, but neither account includes his full name, so the true identity of TikTok Guy remains a mystery.

Are Alex Hall And Her TikTok Guy Still Dating?

In a May 2024 interview, Hall told Bustle that she and TikTok Guy are “no longer dating” and that “He’s pursuing his career and dreams in London. As a working single mom, my priorities are here. So, unfortunately, that became unrealistic.”

Hall elaborated on the relationship and breakup a bit more during an interview with Us Weekly, saying, “We only dated for three months when he was here, and half of that time was not exclusive. We tried doing the long distance thing and eventually it just got to a point where it was unrealistic. He didn’t know when he was coming back and I needed, again, some more answers and more security, a timeline. I just really feel like I need to focus on what’s here and my priorities here. So, we’re still friends. Very, very, very good friends. He’s a great guy, but I need someone here.”

While Selling The OC Season 3 ends on a cliffhanger, Hall set the record straight in an interview, revealing that she did, in fact, leave Stanaland behind and go to Italy with TikTok Guy. “Girls got to eat. I was only getting breadcrumbs and I needed a big full loaf of bread, so I went to Italy,” Hall told Us Weekly.

After two seasons of palpable will-they-won’t-they energy looming over their friendship, the two kissed in a hot tub in the Season 2 finale and, per Hall, Stanaland ghosted and went on an extended vacation, leaving her to question their status.

“[It’s] tough because Tyler and I started as friends,” Hall told Decider over Zoom. “I really think it’s important to lead with somebody that you are compatible with over somebody who you might have insane chemistry with, and ultimately, it really boils down to who’s it going to work with. Where the compatibility factors and chemistry can be fun, and it can be exciting, and it can be this nerve-wracking thing, it ultimately might not be ideal. It can’t be the only thing that you have. And it’s tough too, obviously, going from a friendship into trying to do something romantic, but I think as far as mine and his relationship goes, it is a learning experience.”

“I think I said it a few times on the show: Your actions need to match your words. When I would say things like, ‘Oh, you’re swooning me,’ or he would tell me almost everything I wanted to hear, but the actions never seemed to align,” Hall continued. “Sometimes we’ve got to listen with our eyes, so that’s probably what I’ve learned.”

When asked about her relationship with Stanaland during an appearance on Selling Sunset‘s reunion in 2023, Hall revealed, “I’m actually blocked on Instagram. I’m excommunicated,” adding that she didn’t know he was leaving the Oppenheim Group “until he pretty much left.”

Who Is Tyler Stanaland’s Ex Wife?

For those who made it through three Selling The OC season premieres without learning this information, Stanaland used to be married to actor Brittany Snow. The two started dating in 2018, married in March 2020, and announced their separation less than a month after Season 1 of the reality show premieredand rumors of Stanaland’s office flirting began circulating.

Though Snow hasn’t spoken much about her ex’s reality series, during a March appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the actorsuggested Stanaland was unfaithful during their marriage, implying that he was involved with someone on the show.

“I will say, what people think happened … happened. There’s a lot of grace that I give myself and also I can own — there’s a part of this that I don’t have a part in,” Snow said.

Shortly after the episode came out, Stanaland released a statement via Instagram Stories, attempting to shut down rumors that he was unfaithful in his marriage. In a recent interview with Page Six, Hall did the same, saying, “If you’re going to accuse me of something, say it. Say my name and say what I did.
