Howe puts Magpies in front as Daicos creates another

By Chris De Silva

COLLINGWOOD IS IN FRONT!

Jeremy Howe drills the set shot from 20m out directly in front, and this is another score involvement from Nick Daicos.

"That is an unbelievable kick inside 50. There is a reason why he is mentioned as the best player in the game," Jack Riewoldt says on commentary.

What an unbelievable comeback this has been. 5.3 to 0.1 Collingwood's way in this quarter.

North's lead down to one goal as Daicos continues to run riot

By Chris De Silva

Nick Daicos, take a bow.

Alastair Clarkson is the master coach, but he's handed the game on a platter to the Pies by taking his tagger off Daicos.

Daicos with another two possessions before a brilliant kick inside 50 finds Bobby Hill.

Daicos is up to nine score involvements, and Liam Shiels just cannot run with him here.

Six consecutive goals to Collingwood. What a remarkable comeback this has been!

Zurhaar crunched by teammate amid Pies run

By Chris De Silva

The Kangaroos in all sorts here at Docklands!

Cam Zurhaar and Eddie Ford take each other out in a huge marking contest.

Their lead is down to two even goals. There is just under 10 minutes of play remaining, heaps of time.

"They've just parked the bus haven't they," says Jack Riewoldt of North's tactics on commentary.

By Chris De Silva

3QT: Magpies threatening huge comeback

By Chris De Silva

The siren sounds to end the third quarter, and this match is a lot more delicately poised than the scoreboard suggests.

North Melbourne holds a 31-point lead at the final change, but Collingwood is within striking distance, and that's all the Magpies wanted.

It's been a big switch in momentum after the Kangaroos got out to a game-high 54-point lead earlier in the third quarter.

Nick Daicos, after a quiet half, has gotten himself into the game, which spells trouble for the Kangaroos.

The commentators have noted that a lot of Collingwood's runs have come with George Wardlaw (26 touches, six clearances) off the ground.

Alastair Clarkson will want to play the young gun for the majority of the final term you'd think.

Big 50m penalty as Daicos doubles up

By Chris De Silva

Oh no, Tom Powell, that's a horrible blunder.

Powell delays giving the ball back to Nick Daicos in the middle of the ground after Daicos trapped Zac Fisher holding the ball.

The 50m penalty brings Daicos to within striking range, and the Collingwood star kicks his second of the quarter.

He's had eight touches to go along with two majors in this quarter.

A big minute coming up to end this quarter.

Kreuger hits the scoreboard as Jiath deals with cramps

By Chris De Silva

Tew Jiath, the debutant, with a wonderful kick inside 50 to find Nathan Kreuger.

Literally immediately after kicking the football, the youngster limps off the ground with a cramp in both legs.

Kreuger makes no mistake on the set shot and trims the margin to 38 points once again.

North steads amid Magpies comeback attempt

By Chris De Silva

A pair of excellent tackles inside 50 from Toby Pink, and he's rewarded on the second one!

The set shot is not a pretty one, but Pink somehow floats it through the big sticks.

A massive, massive goal for North to just steady things a little bit.

Just minutes later, Curtis Taylor makes it two in two minutes to give the Kangaroos a comfortable 45-point lead once again.
